Joanne offers a blend of ten years recent career coaching experience with extensive experience in several people related roles before that. She combines the theory from career coaching qualifications with strong applied knowledge of business and of people.
Empowering, grounded and professional, Joanne strives to always assist clients to develop goals, action plans and strategies for success. Her approach to her work is at all times effective and ethical.
Joanne has worked in a wide range of settings including corporate, community, education and vocational rehabilitation. Her advanced communication skills mean she can comfortably relate to any setting and build effective rapport with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
Her experience includes account and project management roles and she has been involved in the successful strengthening of programmes involving international relationships.
Clients find Joanne challenging, provocative when appropriate, always helpful and focused on results. Her strong facilitation skills mean she works effectively in both group and one on one situations.
Joanne has strong and current knowledge of current career and market trends and is an active member of the Wellington branch of the Career Development Association of New Zealand (CDANZ).
She holds specific career coaching qualifications with a Diploma of Career Counselling from Weltec and a Graduate Diploma in Career Development from AUT. Joanne also has a BA in Psychology and Education from the University of Canterbury.
