Russell has over 18 years’ extensive experience working with a wide range of clients in the career management industry in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Committed, challenging and effective, Russell is passionate about making sure that clients receive the best possible service. Russell is widely known for bringing out hidden talents and abilities and for providing effective coaching and mentoring.
Russell’s extensive career related skills and experience ranges from the delivery of career development and career transition services for both individuals and groups to the development of career resources.
This includes the research of information relevant for the online career database provided by Career Services and the development of Pathfinder – an online career guidance programme for all New Zealanders.
In his role with CDL, Russell works with clients as they manage personal and professional change to ensure that they achieve their potential within an organisation and at a level that is both satisfying and rewarding.
Often this will involve ‘going that extra mile’ and calling on Russell’s own extensive network of employers, recruitment expertise and professional contacts.
Russell has a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business and Administration, focusing on Change Management. He also has a Master of Arts Degree in Education, specialising in E-Learning.
Russell is the immediate Past President and current Member of the Career Development Association of New Zealand (CDANZ).
